Go New Orleans happens in just 3 more days!!!!! I am so friggin excited! I had a photo team meeting this past Sunday, which was cool. The guy leading the meeting I've actually met before, back from my skateboarding, concert every weekend stage. Turns out he played in a band I used to go see all the time. Crazy.
Anyway I learned to basics of the software I'll be using to edit the photos. The photographer is going to take 35-40 pictures of the family, the pictures will be given to me and I will pick out the top 15-20 pictures. Then the family will come in and I will get to sit with them and go through the pictures to help them pick out the best 5-8 pictures from the group. I'll take those pictures, edit them while talking with the fam and then go over the finished product. How COOL is that?? It's really the only job on this trip where I'll actually get a good 20-30 minutes to sit and talk with the families impacted by the hurricane.
Everyone on the photo team seems so nice and everyone is just so excited to get down there and do some good. To give back somehow. I'm so thankful to be a part of this trip. My camera is charged and I am ready to contribute in any way I can. I'm also completey excited to get my own shots of what I'm sure will prove to be a beautiful city.
