House hunter

So I really want to buy a house. I just started looking. Yesterday I went to go see 3 houses and I really loved this condo. I never thought I would ever buy a condo because I think the condo fees are ridiculous, but for the price I want to pay it might be the best thing for me. Here is the one I loved.
Mine would be the green one

My dining room

The living room, with a little deck on the back

Master bedroom, which is really big!

Second bedroom or office

It has 1 1/2 baths and a full basement. The kitchen isnt the cutest but it works. My uncle also offered to help me remodel it if I want, which would be great. My realitor is going to look for some other places like it so that I can look at a bit of a variety but this one is kind of perfect for me. Lots of closet space, big bedroom, basement, cosy living room. I pretty much love it!

Happy Graduation Jamie!

Today I went to Edgewood Tavern to meet my family out for drinks and a celebration of my cousin Jamie's graduation from nursing school. She was really really drunk and it was really funny. I don't know if she'll remember that I am to be her maid of honor in her wedding, lol. She was so funny! Here are some more pictures...

Jamie, her boyfriend Scott, and her boyfriend's twin Phil

She was trying to make sure Phil understood that she really loves him, lol.
She really loved everyone that night

I think it worked!
She was laying on the arcade game. Hot Mess, lol.

Hugs!

As always I had a great day with my family!!

FIGHT THE POWER!

I was highly disappointed today. Yesterday a mass e-mail was sent out at work informing everyone that there would be a large protest held at our bank location today.. Now the protest was against the bank accepting TARP money or bailout money. why they chose the Cincinnati US Bank location, I have no idea. I know we took about 6.6 million dollars in bailout money but that amount pales in comparison to other banks and we're paying it back much faster than other banks. Also the corporate headquarters are not in Cincinnati. This protest was nationwide they could have picked a better bank to protest in this area. Anyway, needless to say I was highly excited about it.

My co-workers and I had a great plan for our protesting idiots First we would acquire these items:
Monopoly Money
A Sharpie
Moet
Towel
Signs
Boom box
Aluminum Foil

We had several scenarios using these items
1.) We write TARP with the sharpie on the monopoly money, play Lil' Wayne Make it Rain on our boom box and throw our TARP monopoly money into the crowd. Add the aluminum foil to our front teeth for a grill effect and spray the crowd with Moet!

2.) Next play Busta Rhymes Arab Money on the boom box, wrap our heads with towels, throw more TARP money, and spray more Moet

3.)Pretend to be a protester too, but protest ridiculous things so it looks as if the protesters are there for the same thing. For instance I chant "no more immigrants" with a sign to emphasize my point and a Hispanic guy in my office will chant "Hell no we won't go!"

We had all of this planned and were bursting with excitement on for absolutely NO protesters to show their cowardly faces. We were SO disappointed. I bet they heard of our plan and were scared so they chickened out!

Don't get me wrong I don't see anything wrong with someone believing in something and making it known. However, what is protesting at US Bank really going to do about our current economic climate? US bank probably would have been fine without the money. We're one of the only banks that sustained their place in the banking industry pretty well. Especially when they're at our place of work like we're supposed to feel bad for working for a company that took TARP money. Um no, we all took pay cuts, most of us didn't get raises this year and some of us got our hours cut. So F you jerks, we're sacrificing. You want to be mad at someone go find Richard Davis' residence and sit outside his house. Or how about you go to work? Luckily maybe they didn't protest because they were, you know, at work. I was thinkin' about that the most. Protest people takin TARP money when more than likely you should be at work. OR what do you want the people working at US Bank to do? Quit? Then you'll be complaining because you'll have to pay their foreclosed homes. Like I said I get that people are passionate about things and what they believe in. Life is too short to always be worried about what the next man is doing. Do you really think that protesting at a bank is going to change the world? Take your day that you were going to protest and help build a homeless shelter, read to an old woman that has no family, help an underprivileged child. You know, something useful.

St. Patrick's Day

So when I was looking for cute uplifting prayers for St. Patrick's Day, I came across these and they really hit my heart. In a good and of course sad way... For anyone who's lost someone close to them read these and really, even though it may be hard, try to smile :o)
To you daddy....
May the road rise up to meet you.May the wind always be at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again,May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Remembered Joy
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free! I follow the plan God laid for me. I saw His face, I heard His call, I took His hand and left it all...I could not stay another day, To love, to laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way. And if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss. My life's been full, I've savoured much: Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—Don't shorten yours with undue grief. Be not burdened with tears of sorrow, Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

I'm getting to the point that I don't think these are all total BS. They start to become inspirational like they're supposed to be. I promise I don't always try and make my blog depressing but I'm trying to release feelings somehow :o)

Ain't no joke, if you don't pay that note!

Ok I stumbled upon the best show ever tonight and I felt I needed to share it with everyone. It's called Operation Repo on TruTV. They follow around this family that repossesses cars. These people are so irate that their cars are being repoed and that has always been a concept that was so hilarious to me. I used to work in 24-hour banking and I would take calls from lease and loan customers and they would be so upset if we repossessed their car or if we informed them that it might happen soon if they didn't pay up. They would threaten meeting the repo men with shot guns like mad people. What would make you think that you could purchase a car or lease a car and not pay for it???? Why would you think the bank would just pick up the bill for you to drive a new car? And then once it got repoed why are you so surprised!? And why are you so mad?
All I know is if this woman showed up to take my car away.....

.... I would let her have it. Watch the show! It's hilarious!

I do.

Ok so I have to say the wedding was really fun. I went in with positive attitude and I only had to use my chicken and biscuits tactic a couple times. It was extra hard to watch the father walk the daughter down the aisle. Even though I didn't really watch. I really had to distract myself but it worked. I did good at the church. My brother decided we should go to the cemetery, that was ok too. Someone had already left him the same exact flowers we did. Like I've said before sometimes I forget how people outside our immediately family really miss him too :o)

Then it was on to the reception and we had a lot of fun. I was on the verge of a breakdown during the father daughter dance because their song was "I loved her first" stupid country songs. I became to bartender for the father of the groom during that song. I had to concentrate on getting the beer, lol. After all of that non-sense was over I had a great time. Here are a ton of pictures from it!
