Garth update
Apparently Garth belongs to my neighbor. Also he is a she and her name is Pixie. Whatevs.
Go Cincinnati 2013
GoCincinnati has come and gone and it was absolutely amazing. I had the best time with friends and family helping out a great cause.
We started out at Crossroads, bright and early Saturday morning and by bright and early I mean 6:00 am. I’ll admit I threw a bit of a hissy fit because they didn’t have my favorite almond toffee coffee anymore. BUT it was replaced with Highlander Grogg which is more amazing than anything I’ve ever tasted! It was a major find sent from God himself. Seriously. Anyway , after everyone checked in we made our way into the auditorium for an amazing celebration! It involved music, huge beach balls and an inflatable zebra, that may or may not have been accosted by my uncle Mike. By 8:oo am everyone was ready to go! We made the trip down to Falmouth and got straight to work. We got a lot done and had a ton of laughs, here are some of the pictures from the day!

Mother's Day
70% of the family and I went to Buca for Mother's Day and it was super fantastic. I love Buca and they put one in down the street from me and it's where my mom wanted to eat so we went after a great church service at Crossroads. I am so excited that my whole family has been coming with me lately! Anyway we got to sit in the kitchen! I always wanted to do that at the one in Cincinnati:
Meet Garth
I found a new kitty this weekend. I guess I should say that he found me. He had come and sat on my window sill a couple of times and I just assumed it was someone in the neighborhood's cat.
Yesterday after church he yelled at my sister and I as we got out of the car and headed in the house. He was so friendly! He purred on us and meowed at us, but he was so skinny. Of course I ended up feeding him and I can't get enough of him.

He climbed right up on my lap and cuddled up with me! I knew I should have never fed him, because now he's mine, although he has to stay outside. I'm hoping someone claims him before the end of the summer.

Today I thought a lot about my friend Jason Mojica that passed away over a year ago. I saw a thing online about soul mates and how they could just be friends, someone who understands you, a relationship with that's just different than others and it made me think of him. So I scrolled through some of our pictures and some of the comments we left to each other on facebook. I miss him and my heart breaks that I don't get to laugh with him anymore. Miss you Momo!

I have been extremely busy lately, but fortunately all with good things.
A few months ago I started volunteering at my church every Sunday. I got myself involved as a leader in Go Cincinnati. I got connected with a small group that meets every Thursday at Crossroads. I've also finally started putting in the time and effort to paint and redecorate my house. I should have taken before and after pictures because it's starting to look really cute!

One last thing, I'm trying to become a "yes girl" instead of always saying no and cuddling up with my cats on the weekends. It's really not been my fault it's hard to resist these two lunatics
That may be because it's not cold out anymore but I'm going to go with it being a significant, intentional life change.
Either way I'm excited for what's to come...

I have been slacking...
on writing, on picture taking, on a lot. But not on the important things. I'm very excited about the things I've been involved in and I've been so busy with it I haven't had time. I'll be back soon!
