God is a God of Small Places

I absolutely loved today's message at church.  It was something I needed to hear.  Mosa Sono came all the way from South Africa to teach us how God is a God of small places.  It really spoke to me because I have been struggling with a few things lately and during service it was a reminder that my struggles are small.  My faith and trust is tested by my small wants.  I was reminded that I do not have to be stuck in that small place and that I do not have to be defined by that small place, and when I am in that small place, that is when God does his best work.  He challenges me to come out of it.  I will let God define me, instead of that small place.

I was very encouraged by the verses he gave to repeat myself whenever I'm feeling like I'm stuck in a small place.  Whenever I have fear, or feel condemned, or when I have no strength, anytime I'm stuck, so I thought I would share them to encourage others or for myself to come back to:

2 Timothy 1:7- 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline

Philippians 4:13 - 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

2 Corinthians 2:14 - 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Psalm 27:1 - 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

Philippians 4:19 - 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7 - 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Romans 8:2-3 - 8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.
