Washington Park

I went to Washington Park tonight for the first time, and I have no idea why I haven't gone there until now.  I really loved it.  It's a great place to gather some friends and just hang out.  Listen to music, people watch, chat and gather community.  I will be back.

grace is free...

That moment, when you're driving down the road, listening to your favorite worship album, and God makes it abundantly clear just how real your salvation is.

That moment when you hear, "things may never be perfect and you'll never reach that unattainable goal you have of perfection, but that's okay because I'm taking you home with me anyway..."

Terrific Twos

Crossroads Florence is almost 2 years old, and in typical crossroads fashion, we took time to celebrate it!

We wait...

There have been a lot of times lately where I felt like I was aimlessly wandering.  Desperate for direction from God.  Sometimes you just have to sit in the confusion before God makes things crystal clear.  Sometimes you have to go through some bumps and bruises before God shows you that every single step of your life prepares you for what's next.  Last night God made it so incredibly clear how strong he's made me through my past.  The confidence he's instilled in me.  The wealth he has poured out on me.  The blessing I can be in my community because of it all.  I'm so excited about the future. God is so good.

wealthy

We had an amazing message at church on Sunday about wealth.  How wealth is more than money.

So this week I've been looking around at all of my blessings and am overwhelmed at how wealthy I am.  It's something I know if I think about it, but I need the reminder.  Here's a huge reminder.

Four years ago I was too afraid to ask for help.  This year I had faith that God would provide the money I needed to get to New Orleans and he provided more than I needed.

home.

I love the beach and I love home.  How do I put both of them together?

better than a regular monday

I started off my Monday at this cute little coffee shop up the street with my journal and bible.  Can I tell you how much I'd like to start everyday off like this?
Then my sister and I did a little exploring of the town...
love handmade soaps, they all smelled so good

Such a beautiful little town.

Psalm 46:5

huntin' for treasures

My uncle loves to search for treasures on the beach.
Day at the pool!
Dinner together.  love.
I tried out the top bunk, until I had to go to the bathroom and the ladders designed for 5 year olds killed my feet.

The Beach!!!

If you know me you know how much I love a road trip!  Especially when it's to the beach!  You also know I love pictures, here are a few from the ride down

My sister and her fancy shoes and socks with comfy road trip gear.

We made it to our first stop in Athens Alabama.  Dinner Time.

Day two, first rest stop.  My uncle did everything he could to annoy us on the walkie talkies, this is me and my mean face.
Scott hates UK, but he was wearing a True Blue t-shirt, we thought if we took a picture next to him it would look like he LOVED UK!
We're almost there!
We see water!
And pretty Bama scenes
We're here!!  This is our front door.  Pretty colors
Seriously, the most beautiful place to be is the beach at sunset.
Heated game of Catch Phrase.  So much fun.  The correct answer is King Kong.
