I keep saying I'm going to do more of this because I actually really love to write, which is something that in the 8th grade, I never thought I would say. The problem with my blog is that I really only think to write on here when I'm 'goin through' something. So it becomes overly depressing so I need to get on here more and just write about anything. So that's one of my goals. I have a ton of them, so many that it becomes difficult to keep track of them, lol. Let me see if I can list them:

  • Write more

  • Photo project

  • Garden

  • Paint the house

  • Draw more

  • Ireland savings

  • Cook a new meal every Sunday

I can't think of any others right now but that should keep me busy enough for the summer.

Today I have tasked myself to count how many times the woman in the office next to me says "ohhhh shoot." Currently she's at 12. It's only 3:30, I'm thinking she can get to 20 by 5:00p.m. The antics that go on in this office are dangerously similar to what you would see on the show The Office. We have a Michael, Pam, Dwight (kind of), Oscar, and who is the red head with the drinking problem? We have her too. We play pranks a lot unfortunately though we actually get a lot more work done than I would assume they would on the office if it were a real office. Anyway, I was thinking about offering her an altoid each time she says ohhh shoot to test Pavlov's dog salivating theory, like Jim did with Dwight. If I do I'll be sure to post my results.

Happy Friday everyone!

P.S.- it is now 3:41 and she's up to 15, I may have undershot my estimate.

Findlay Market

I posted some pictures in my art blog (which I guess we could really call my photography blog since I don't really draw or paint anymore) the other day of a couple of shots I took at Findlay Market last weekend. I have no idea why I have never been there before. I absolutely love it. Food, flowers, music, a little bit of culture right in the middle of Cincinnati. It felt like the kind of thing you loved to go see in another city but don't even know it goes on right down the street from you every single weekend. I bought some homemade soaps that smell amazing (I will be trying to make some of my own soon.) I also bought a couple different home made spices and some flowers.

The picture below I snuck in while this old man drew this little girl. I met some co-workers at the market and a man I work with said that the artist used to ride his bus and he would draw a random person on the bus in like 20 minutes and then hand the drawing off to the unsuspecting passenger that he chose to be his model that day. His artwork is amazing.

I'm in love with the market now and will definitely be going there with my camera frequently.

I've been running extra low on patience lately so I decided to do some research for my trip to Ireland which will hopefully take place in March of 2011. The photo above is the castle I'm interested in saying in. How cool is that?? It looks like I will have to save a cool $3,000 minimum, because there is a good chance that I'll want to fly to other places in Europe while I'm over there. I hear flights once you're on the other side of the world are dirt cheap. Anyway the 3,000 will prove to be quite a task for me; I might just be the world's worst 'saver.' I'm trying to think of some things I can do to save the money. My biggest thing is food. I like sushi. I love eating out in general with the girls at the end of a long week. This is the first thing that has to stop. Next is my Chai tea from Kitty's in the morning. BUT THEY'RE SOOOO GOOD! And they start my day off right damnit.

I may need to hang pictures of Ireland everywhere to remind myself. Maybe put one on my debit card, or possibly just cut up my debit card all together. I don't know I'll figure something out. All I know is I want to be kissing the blarney stone at some point next year. If I didn't have to start paying these silly student loans that would be amazing. Whatever raise I get for this promotion will be eaten back by the money I borrowed for that stupid piece of paper that, by the way, isn't even displayed anywhere.

How absolutely ridiculous is this, all of this. Completely spoiled that I don't want to give up tea or sushi and other stupid crap so I can fly to IRELAND. I'm currently pulling myself together.....
