Yesterday I attended my little sister's graduation party. 10 years ago I was celebrating mine. Where does time go? Seriously.
My sister and I are about 9 years apart. 10 years ago she was more of a nuisence than a friend. I've always loved her, she's my sister, but like a lot of times younger siblings "get on our nerves" or "don't respect our privacy." In the last 3 or 4 years somehow she became pretty much the most important person in my life. Her 3 best friends have also grown close to my heart and I couldnt express how proud of them I am. They've been best friends all 4 years and seem to do everything together. I had sleepover's at my house as often as possible. They've been the best kids too. They're not your typical high school kids, getting into trouble, materialistic, etc. They all graduated with honors and are all off to college next year. They call themsevles the Fab 4 and even though the Fab 4 will be going their seperate ways after this summer, I know they will remain great friends. Maybe in the coming years they won't be too cool to have sleepovers still :o)
There is something amazing about watching high school kids start their journey into the "real world." So weird to think about how I used to think people were crazy for going on and on about "you can do anything" "live your dreams" etc. Of course 10 years later I truly believe these statements. I hope these 4 beautiful women really do chase their dreams and I will be sure to encourage them along the way.
Congrats girls! You deserve the best of everything this "real world" as to offer.
